It has been long!

I have not posted anything here for a whole year. I guess I can turn this into an annual thing…

Anyway, while I did not post:

I presented the cross-platform mruby between Wii and Dreamcast at Tokyo Rubyist Meetup on 3 July 2024
I went to Tokyu Ruby Kaigi 15, and I did not know but they did this thing where they’d pick any participant for a lightning talk. Guess what, I was randomly picked and did a 3-minute lightning talk
I went to RubyKaigi 2025 in Matsuyama, but did not present. I submitted a proposal for mruby on Sony Playstation using the open source SDK. It was not accepted, but somebody else did an LT on Sony Playstation using the official SDK.
I went to NZ for Ruby Retreat 2025. NZ was amazing! I started working on mruby VM for Z80 there.
I went to Kansai Ruby Kaigi 08. I did not present anything but it was an amazingly fun event. Kyoto was hot!

Also, my dear friend Paul Fioravanti passed away and while I was in Adelaide, I went to the celebration of his life hosted by his wife. I went to Ruby Kaigi 2016 in Kyoto, and spent a lot of time with him while we were there. While I was in Kyoto for Kansai Ruby Kaigi 08, a lot of stuff reminded me of it. I trolled him whenever he spoke Japanese with “ポールさん日本語上手ですね” (“Wow Paul, your Japanese is good”). Sadly, I cannot do that to him any more. I miss him.
